What I won't sell you

I don't sell lab placements, and I won't sell an illegitimate publication.

Programs that promise those are the reason ProPublica went looking: journals accepting four out of five submissions from a single service, paid fast-track review, quiet arrangements between the service and the journal publishing its clients. Admissions officers have noticed. What I teach instead is the necessary background skills: statistics you can defend, AI tools for data analysis (R), human subject certification (CITI), and the steps to draft outreach emails to university labs in the Bay Area.

Who you'd be working with

Economics and human biology undergraduate at Stanford, on a neuroscience concentration, and a research intern. I do research on how people make risky decisions, which is most of why I find the economics worth teaching.
